JD Productions is top tier Video Production Company, based out of Johannesburg, South Africa. Well, I like to think we are :D

 Hi, I'm the owner, Jacques Daniel Mackenzie and thank you for visiting JD Productions. I established the company in 2014 after working in the television industry and have gained advanced experience in a variety of professional filming environments.

Soon after leaving the '9 to 5', I continued on filming in television but also got a taste of diverse projects including photographing weddings as a second photographer. Learning all the complex details of a wedding day whilst doing professional stills photography, I quickly realized I could apply all my newly found skills to my cinematography and with that, I immediately started producing beautifully composed footage (if I do say so myself), capturing important moments for couples to relive over and over into the old days.

No trendy editing that will look cheesy in a few years. No over-the-top camera movements distracting from the emotion. Just beautiful moments and imagery that invokes nostalgia.

I have since filmed over 250 wedding films for a variety of top class wedding film companies in South Africa, including my own, and for a diverse variety of cultures. I have also made many friends in the industry with equally, if not more evolved skills to assist me in producing high quality and memorable wedding films when the need for a larger team arises.
